Here are five special ways to give your goals some much needed impetus. Use these tips to energise your campaign, to achieve your goals and to keep them top of mind at all times.
Your first tip is to identify your main goal or goals. You may have decided that you need to lose a fair bit of weight because your health is suffering and your doctor has advised that there could be signs of diabetes.
You could also have identified as one of your key goals a new career path or a home business. Whatever your main goals are, the ones that you really want to achieve those should be your main focus.
Tip two, make sure your goal stretches you. Out of your line up of goals you want to achieve in the near future ensure that at least one goal will push you further than you might think you are capable of.
Pick one that you really want to achieve where there is already some burning desire and amplify it, make it further than you imagined at the beginning. Make sure that achieving this goal will truly make you stretch yourself.
Tip three. Once you have identified these goals record them in the greatest of details. You may use whatever means work the best for you. Some people are best at working with words, most people however will prefer the visual aspect.
Out of these full details take the most important statement and write this one on a piece of paper that you are able to carry with you at all times. Carrying a huge cardboard with your pictures on is not going to work with this tip.
Tip four. Now that you have your main goals written down in short hand, don’t neglect them. Take out that piece of paper at least three times a day and study the words carefully. Read them with concentration and agree with the statement.
Read that goal of weight loss, agree that this is what you will achieve and nod your head in agreement. This will be the reality in the future. Do this several times a day, especially when you think about it. And don’t be shy as to where you are. Fish out that scrap of paper in the train, on the bus, in a meeting. Reaffirm your goal.
Tip five. To give your goals a turbo boost of energy use a symbolic gesture to confirm that you have achieved this. In the case of the weight loss you can buy your first item of clothing at the size that you are striving towards. Hang it up in full view in your bedroom.
Or if your goal is to earn a large amount of money, write a cheque or create a bank statement that shows that large sum of money in the bank. Put this somewhere where you can see it constantly. Find something that represents your goal at the moment of achievement. Make it physical and touchable.
Those are some easy ways to help you tread that path to your goals at a greater pace and to enable you to achieve those goals.

Great tips on achieving your goals. I find that once you take a pen and put it on paper the goal becomes real. Before that it’s just a good idea. Thanks for the tips.

I agree there is something very powerful about writing down your goals. It doesn’t seem quite real to me unless I write it down.

Hi Tracy,
Thanks for your visit and comment. Writing down your goals is definately very important. Write them and stick the paper at a place where you can keep seeing it, let your subconscious mind do the rest. As they say the subconscious mind is more powerful that the conscious mind.
Take care and cheers.
