Daily Quote –“Ideas are funny little things, they won’t work unless you do.”
A very powerful reason why many people never achieve the success they wish for themselves is because they don’t think they will ever get there. The ones that believe it, make it happen for themselves.
Do you know anybody in your life who, while growing up, used to pretend to be a radio announcer, or a writer, or an actress? Do you remember somebody who did this all the time until everybody got tired of it? Somebody who endlessly produced their own radio shows on the old fashioned taping machines.
Did you know somebody who filmed scenes or took photographs? What about your friends who went to gymnastics classes every day while their friends played computer games or watched TV? Or maybe you were that person who did this endlessly.
How many of these people who had those vivid dreams and play-acted them out, actually made those dreams come true? And did you if you had one of those passions?
There is the true story of Natalie du Toit who was on track for a spectacular swimming career when she was involved in a traffic accident which meant one of her legs had to be amputated.
She never gave up on that dream that had gotten her into the swimming pool for so many hours per day. She carried on with her training and her dreaming of gold medals. She was a sensation at the Paralympic games the first time she entered in 2004.
In 2008 she even competed in the able-body swimming event. She was chosen to carry her country’s flag in the opening ceremonies for both the able and disabled Olympics in 2008. Who would have thought that possible? She did.
This is where the Law of Attraction comes into the picture. What you imagine you attract into your life. This may be something bad or it could be the success you have dreamt for yourself. It will all depend on what you see yourself doing.
What will help besides visualising your achievement is already pretending and acting out that this is happening. Practice the moment of your achievement. Use the props you would need such as a microphone or a business suit to live through that moment.
Celebrate your achievements. Organise a Millionaires party and invite all those who want to be millionaires. Tell them they have to behave as if they were millionaires already. How would you behave as a millionaire?
In fact if your idea of success is to be a top athlete, a world class artist, a Nobel prize winning scientist, a space walking astronaut how would you behave if you were this? What would it mean to you in your life, how would it change you and your vision of yourself?
Why not start behaving like that right now? If you wish to be a successful business person, then dress as such. Wear your dark suits and carry your briefcase. Spend a little extra money on your shirts and shoes. Get a really nice leather case and invest in a good computer. Don’t forget the smart phone.
In other words imagine yourself already successful. Just the way you carry yourself will already spell success. Your true achievements will not be far away.
