Admit To Your Failures

overcomingadversity3Daily Quote: “Errors are inevitable. The mark of character is not refusing to recognize them, but acknowledging them and taking responsibility.” Andrew Sullivan

Open yourself up to an understanding about failure. The only way to put any failure behind you is to fully admit that you messed up, made a mistake, had a negative outcome and many more ways of stating the same.

You could have overspent on your credit card and are now finding yourself in huge debt. Admit to this by accepting that you overspent. Stop lying to yourself that you needed all those clothes, holidays, luxuries, toys for the kids and more spending examples.

jumpingDaily Quote: “Too many people are thinking of security instead of opportunity. They seem to be more afraid of life than death.” James F. Bymes

If a fear is so overpowering that it paralyses you then scale down your risk. Whatever it is that is creating such fear in your mind, chop it down to smaller steps. You want to set yourself tasks that you can manage. That does not mean that all fear will disappear, but it will mean that you will be able to overcome the smaller fears.

Reducing your tasks that are so frightening works hand in hand with your goal setting. When identifying your goals you will also want to ensure that you have set them down to be manageable. That is you have identified the many small steps you need to take in order to reach those goals.

You Have To Learn To Fail To Win

www.selfalot.comDaily Quote: “I wasn’t afraid to fail. Something good always comes out of failure.” Anne Baxter

Whatever happened to that famous saying, if at first you don’t succeed try and try again. Yet how afraid are we of failing? We do not even start on a new adventure because we do not want to fail.

Try for a different job? Oh no, can’t do that. Take a different route, cook a new meal, experiment with new seeds, learn to ride a motorbike, work out how to use e-mail. Never.  Can’t do any of that.
