In the business environment market research is used to determine what products might be useful for the target market and which ones could be profitable and popular. In our lives we seldom do any market research. We decide on a goal and just go for it.

Use feedback like market research. There are several ways of going about it. You can ask around for feedback on an idea you have and build your goal around the answers you receive. For instance you might want to start a new hobby and think that playing a musical instrument could be fun.

The Pain Is Now But The Success Is Forever

These are the thoughts of a world class athlete competing at the highest level. This is especially true for endurance races such as the Tour de France where the pain threshold of every competitor is tested every day over 23 days.

Every day the cyclists pick themselves up again and start the painful journey again for the day. Their focus is on the fact that the pain will be short lived but the victory if they win will be for ever.

Do you remember somebody who did this all the time until everybody got tired of it? Somebody who endlessly produced their own radio shows on the old fashioned taping machines.
